Operation Fresh Water

Despite floating on an ocean of it, sailors at sea need a way to make that water safe for drinking. How do they ensure they have an adequate supply?

Enter the Light Weight Purification System (LWPS) – the main purification system for the Navy. It’s used for purifying fresh, brackish or salt water and only takes one individual to operate. To learn more about LWPS and why it’s important during deployments, watch below:
