NASA’s Jack Fischer took this snap from the International Space Station’s cupola module June 19, 2017

The best fireworks shows across the nation were no match for nature this past month, as NASA’s Expedition 52 Flight Engineer Jack Fischer took an incredible photo from the International Space Station.

The image was released as Fischer and fellow astronaut Peggy Whitson celebrated Independence Day more than 250 miles above Earth.

Fischer also shared a photo of the pair on social media and said, “We sometimes have issues standing up straight, but we have no problems at all showing our American pride-Happy 4th!”
