Army Engineers Tackle Dirty Job of Soil Testing

A bioaccumulation testing project is underway in Vicksburg, Miss. The Environmental Laboratory of the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center is conducting the testing which is necessary before dredging projects can occur.

Researchers are determining whether there are contaminants in the sediment by testing the soil’s effect on clams. This U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Engineer Research and Development Center video details the process.
