Operation Deep Freeze 2013

It’s that time of year again (and I don’t mean Christmas.  Well it’s almost Christmas.  Well it’s Thanksgiving first.  But now I’m just rambling).

It’s time for Operation Deep Freeze!  New York’s 109th Airlift Wing kicked off operation Deep Freeze in October.

Officials say between now and February, more than 700 personnel and 6 ski-equipped L-C130 aircraft will deploy to the South Pole.  The mission supports research for the National Science Foundation.
