Air Defense In A Ruck

After the words “Geronimo!” you had better hope you have what you need in that ruck sack (especially if no sonic screwdrivers are handy).

SSG Kelvin Maldonado, CW2 Demestrius Cuttino and the rest of the 2nd Bridgade Aviation Element are bettering the Airborne community by doing more with less when they found out how to convert and fit an Air Defense System into a ruck sack.

The Forward Air Defense System and Sentinel Radar System are too heavy and sensitive to send out of a plane on a parachute.  So, the 2nd Brigade Combat Team Aviation Element converted the system to make it mobile and jumped it into a field training exercise. Other airborne units are now training on the system.
