The USS Maine is one of the most complex, technologically demanding machines built by man. SSBNs – or ballistic missile submarines – are powered by nuclear energy. This ensures almost unlimited endurance for extended conflict scenarios. They are equipped with the Trident 2 D-5 missile system.
